What we collect

When you contact us we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address, company, phone number and message. We also collect basic technical information needed to run the website securely, such as IP address and browser type, in server logs.

How we use it and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss a project: legitimate interests, or steps before entering a contract.
• To deliver work under a contract with you or your organisation: performance of a contract.
• To keep the website secure and working: legitimate interests.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting duties: legal obligation.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run our business, such as hosting, email and accounting providers, under contracts that require them to protect it. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for up to 2 years after our last contact, and client and financial records for as long as the law requires (usually 6 years). Server logs are kept for a short period only.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for a copy to move elsewhere. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use these rights, email hello@stato.tech or write to our registered office.

Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required. Our fonts are hosted on our own servers, so no font requests are sent to third parties.
